For vibrant, detailed multi-colored graphic printing on cotton and cotton blend apparel, there is no better option available than Direct to Garment (DTG).
DTG is a process of shooting water-based ink into the fibres of the garments directly, with all colors being printed at once. This is unlike screen printing which does one color at a time. The water-based inks we use in DTG are eco-friendly and are safe for infants and anyone that might suffer from allergies.
For crisp, vibrant custom T-Shirts, Hoodies, Hats and Bags, call on the team at MOBO for efficient and expert service. We are proud to be innovators by being one of the first to offer the latest technology in DTG in our marketplace.
New for 2022 is our Heat Transfer Studio! The Heat Transfer method of decorating is done by taking your graphic image and printing it on a transfer material that has a heat-activated adhesive on one side. The high temperature of the heat press activates the adhesive so that the image is stuck onto the garment.
We know it can very confusing for some when we ask for vector art to decorate your goods. We also know that you might not only be missing vector art, but not have any art files at all! Perhaps you have just a sketch of what you envision for your logo or design. We can help bring that vision to reality with the experts in our Graphics Studio. From concept to delivery, we are here to assist you to “Make Your Mark” with promotional goods and branded apparel.
Screen Printing
Screen printing is still our go-to method of decorating for large orders of Custom T-Shirts. The process is also cost effective when your graphic art contains one or two colors only. The art is separated by color and then a screen is created for each. The screen is placed over the garment and the ink for the color is pushed through the screen onto the shirt. This process is repeated for every color in the design.
Sublimation
Sublimation is for when you need to print very detailed color graphics on flat material that is then sewn together. For example, custom tablecloths that are used at trade shows are most often sublimated. Custom hockey jerseys are sublimated too, as well as T-Shirts sometimes. To best define it, sublimation is where the entire surface of the garment or material used to make the garment is covered with art. It is most commonly only done on 100% polyester fabrics. The process involves using heat sensitive inks. Under high temperatures the inks turn to gas and bonds with the fabric becoming part of the physical structure of the material.
Debossing/Embossing
Debossing is a very popular method of decorating leather goods and apparel. It is achieved by pressing a cut dye into the material’s surface to create an imprint of the design that is depressed into the fabric. Embossing on the other hand creates a raised image on the surface.

Embossing
Tackle Twill is most popular for sports jerseys as it is less expensive for doing large numbers and letters than in regular embroidery. Here, designs are cut from twill fabric and stuck to the surface of the shirt with adhesive. The edge of the design is then finished with a zig zag stitch to keep it in place.
